K League 1 geschiedenis, opzet, organisatie, media-aandacht
De K League One is het hoogste professionele voetbaltoernooi voor mannen in Zuid-Korea. De competitie, die begon in 1983, vindt doorgaans plaats van maart tot december. Er nemen maximaal 12 teams deel aan deze league, waarbij het team dat als eerste eindigt tot kampioen wordt gekroond en de club die onderaan eindigt degradeert naar de K League Two. Het team dat op de voorlaatste plaats eindigt, speelt een degradatie-playoff.
