Additional benefits include streaming, live and on-demand, across multiple devices using Sportsnet’s platform Sportsnet Plus. Viewers can stream FA Cup matches on mobiles and tablets (Android and iOS after downloading the app through Google Play or the App Store), smart TVs and streaming devices (Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Ignite TV), and gaming consoles (Xbox, PlayStation).
Rogers is the official Women’s Super League rightsholder in Canada, securing a broadcast agreement from the 2025-26 season onwards. This deal was brokered by IMG, the sports marketing agency appointed as the WSL’s international media rights distributor. As a result, Women’s Super League fans in Canada can watch live WSL games on Sportsnet’s linear and digital platforms.

As a result, Women’s Super League fans in Canada can watch live WSL games on Sportsnet’s linear and digital platforms. This includes Sportsnet One, Sportsnet Plus, and Sportsnet World, as well as the Sportsnet+ streaming service.

Canadian viewers can watch the Women’s Super League on Sportsnet channels via cable, satellite, and streaming television; however, a subscription to a third-party TV operator is required. While availability is subject to change, Sportsnet channels have been offered by providers such as Bell, Shaw, Rogers, Telus, and more.

Additionally, Canadians can stream live WSL matches on the Sportsnet+ streaming service. While Sportsnet+ offers a standalone Sportsnet+ subscription, viewers subscribed to a partnered TV provider can access the streaming platform at no additional cost.

Sportsnet+ can be streamed via its official website or through the Sportsnet app. The Sportsnet app is available for download on a variety of devices, including Apple TV, Chromecast, Xbox, PlayStation, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, smartphones, and tablets.

Sportsnet’s linear TV channels showing the Dutch first division are available through cable and satellite providers such as Rogers, Shaw, Telus, Bell, Source, SaskTel, and Cogeco. However, availability is subject to change.

Meanwhile, the Sportsnet+ streaming service's HD coverage of the Eredivisie is available via a standalone subscription. However, viewers subscribed to a participating TV provider can access Sportsnet+ content, which may include Dutch football highlights and auxiliary shows, at no additional cost by simply logging in with the same credentials.

All Eredivisie-related content on Sportsnet+ can be accessed through the Sportsnet app or the streaming service’s official website. The Sportsnet app is compatible with numerous Internet-connected devices, including Android and iOS smartphones and tablets, Apple TV, Chromecast, Xbox, PlayStation, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and more.

About

Sportsnet+ history, coverage, features

Sportsnet+ is an online sports streaming platform owned by Rogers Sports and Media. Formerly called Sportsnet Now, this service allows viewers to watch Sportsnet channels and regional feeds such as Sportsnet Ontario, Sportsnet East, Sportsnet Pacific, Sportsnet West, Sportsnet One, Sportsnet 360, and Sportsnet World from home or on the go.

The platform is available as a standalone, subscription-based service. However, it is free for viewers who are subscribed to Sportsnet via a cable, satellite, or IPTV television provider. This includes Rogers, Bell, Shaw, Telus, and more.

The platform was initially created in 2014 as a TV Everywhere service before converting to a fully-fledged streaming platform in March 2016. It underwent its rebrand ahead of the 2023–24 NHL season and is available on smart TVs, streaming devices, smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles, and web browsers (via its official website).

While Sportsnet+ broadcasts content not available on TV, it should be noted that all available sporting events on the streaming service are those licensed by the Sportsnet network, its national channels, and regional feeds. Given Sportsnet’s extensive history of broadcasting the NHL and, in particular, matches involving Canadian franchises, the National Hockey League has been a key fixture in the streaming service’s programming.

In November 2013, Rogers Communications, the parent company of Sportsnet+ owner Rogers Sports and Media, forked out $4.5 billion for the exclusive Canadian broadcast rights to the NHL for 12 years. In April 2025, the company retained the NHL broadcast rights in Canada for an additional 12 years from 2026-27 onward, this time costing $11 billion, thus securing the league on the streaming service even further.

However, the NHL is not the only major American sport to feature on Sportsnet+, with the platform also streaming the NBA and MLB in Canada. This includes the NBA Draft and select Playoffs games, as well as the MLB Divisional Series, Championship Series, World Series, Wild Card, and original documentaries.

Other sporting events to feature on Sportsnet+ include MotoGP, the UFC, the WNBA, and more. Soccer has also been prominent on the platform since its launch, with the Premier League, FA Cup, and Bundesliga having made it to the airwaves. However, broadcast rights deals are subject to change, meaning the competitions mentioned may no longer be available. Please check the official Sportsnet+ website for the latest information.

In October 2018, Sportsnet+ introduced a premium subscription tier, which allows viewers to stream out-of-market regional NHL games involving Canadian franchises. However, despite this, limited blackouts and restrictions remain.
