Kayo Sports is a subscription-based Australian sports streaming service owned by Hubbi. The platform broadcasts both its own sports content and that of third-party networks, enabling it to simulcast coverage from various broadcasters.

Launched in November 2018, Kayo Sports initially entered beta before officially debuting later that same month. Created by parent company Foxtel, Kayo Sports aimed to establish an over-the-top streaming service under a distinct brand, appealing to Australians who were not interested in Foxtel’s traditional satellite or cable offerings.

Upon launch, Kayo Sports offered over 50 sports available live and on demand. This extensive selection was possible because the streaming service partnered with some of the world’s largest sports networks from day one, including Fox Sports, ESPN, and beIN Sports, with Racing.com added a few months later.

However, agreements between the streaming service and third-party networks can change. For instance, both Kayo Sports and Foxtel ceased offering beIN Sports Australia on their platforms in July 2023. Despite this, these partnerships have allowed the streaming service to present various sporting events for which it does not own the broadcast rights.

While football and rugby are among the most popular sports in Australia, Kayo Sports has consistently featured a wide array of sports since its inception. Live and on-demand competitions available on the platform include the NFL, college football, college basketball, the NBA and WNBA, Major League Baseball, the PGA Tour, the Ryder Cup, the NRL Championship, and more.

Kayo Sports has also secured rights deals for specific competitions. Notably, it acquired the rights to stream all 63 games of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, the first edition of the tournament with 32 teams. The rights were announced one month before the competition began. Additionally, Kayo Sports announced a dedicated 24/7 channel to broadcast all Club World Cup fixtures live in HD, along with highlights packages, match recaps, and supplementary programming.

Kayo Sports streams in high definition and is accessible on various internet-connected devices. Viewers in Australia can enjoy the platform through a web browser on PCs, laptops, and Macs, as well as via the Kayo Sports app available on smartphones and tablets, select smart TVs, streaming devices, and gaming consoles.
