Spain - La Liga

Canal Plus Poland has secured rights to broadcast La Liga for five seasons, spanning from 2021/22 to 2025/26. This arrangement comes following a sublicensing agreement with Eleven Sports and involves the broadcast of five La Liga matches each week. Canal Plus Poland and Eleven Sports will alternate first picks on matchdays.

Canal+ NOW history, coverage, features

Canal+ NOW is a temporary television channel from Poland, which is owned and operated by Canal+ Polska. It was launched on August 15, 2017 as a replacement of the channel Sport 38.

Canal+ NOW was conceived as an overflow channel which would provide live coverage to special events -mainly sports- that could not be aired on the network’s regular channels due to lack of available airtime.

Since its inception, Canal+ NOW has covered a wide variety of sports disciplines, including football, handball, golf, and more. Some of the football events covered on this channel over the years have included the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, and games for the Polish First Division, also known as Ekstraklasa.

Although Canal+ NOW was launched as a High-Definition channel, some of the events covered in it have been aired in 4K format, giving fans a richer experience of their favorite sports. The channel is only made available whenever its parent network needs to air a specific event, which may see it pop in and out of the user’s grid.
