Harry Kane finally got his dream move over the summer, leaving Tottenham for European powerhouses Bayern Munich after another disappointing season with the North London side.
And the Englishman has started life at the Allianz Arena exceptionally well, scoring three goals and assisting another in his first three games in the Bundesliga. As a result, the striker has touched upon life in Munich compared to Tottenham, with the Three Lions captain taking a swipe at his former club.
Speaking ahead of their upcoming Euro 2024 qualifier against Ukraine, the 30-year-old hinted that the Premier League side does not care about winning as other top teams in the continent. Kane contrasted that with the environment at Bayern Munich, admitting that the standards are at a completely different level with the German top-flight champions.
"We wanted to win at Spurs, but if you went a couple of games without winning it wasn't a disaster. At Bayern you have to win every game," the Englishman said, as per the Daily Mail.
"After winning 3-1 and 4-0 in our first two games, there was talk about not being too happy about way we played! Top club mentality."
While these comments might not go down well with Tottenham fans, Kane's assessment will not surprise many. Fortunately for the North London club, things have been going well under newly-appointed manager Ange Postecoglou, with the Australian tactician turning his team into one of the most exciting clubs to watch this season.
As for Kane, his focus will be on England's upcoming clash with Ukraine. The Three Lions boast a perfect record in the qualifying round, winning all four of their games so far, including a 2-0 victory over Saturday's opponents when they faced off in late March at Wembley Stadium.
