The Spanish goalkeeper has been singled out by Frank Lampard, and the chances of replacing him with a World Cup winner are too good to snub.

Frank Lampard's intentions to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga for the 2020-21 season are still ongoing even during the forced pause due to the coronavirus outbreak in Europe, and the English boss might have identified his primary transfer target to see the Spaniard leaving the club before the start of the next season.

According to a report by Bild, the English club is interested in luring Manuel Neuer to Stamford Bridge, especially since the goalkeeper has had some run-ins with Bayern's hierarchy this year. The latest difference between the parties came when Bayern offered Neuer a two-year contract extension, but the German shot-stopper refused to sign if his deal did not include a four-year extension with Die Roten.

Bayern would reportedly be interested in letting the player leave since they have already signed Neuer's long-term replacement, Alexander Nubel. The 23-year-old's signing was seen by Neuer as a sign of disrespect to his legacy, which created more tension between the club and the shot-stopper. Hence, Bayern's hierarchy would not see Neuer's exit as the end of the world.

If Neuer can't agree to the kind of the deal he wants, Chelsea would be glad to give the goalie a suitable deal that satisfies both of them. Now, the only thing left to be seen is when the leagues in Europe will resume after this crisis.
