It’s no hidden secret that the biggest football player being linked with Manchester United is Antoine Griezmann. Despite being under contract with Atletico Madrid until 2021, the Frenchman has been tipped with a move to England as early as this summer.
The Red Devils are keen on strengthening their squad further more after signing Pogba and Zlatan. Landing Griezmann is top priority, with the Premier League giants willing to break his £85m release clause.
However, the 25-year-old superstar has casted claims of an Old Trafford move into doubt. Speaking to RMC Sport, Griezmann ruled out a move to two of Europe’s top five leagues – the Bundesliga and Ligue 1. Furthermore, he stated that he has no desire to leave Los Rojiblancos at the moment.
“With Real Sociedad, I felt I needed to leave. For now, I don't have this need or that desire. We don't know how the season will end,” Griezmann said.
“If it ends badly, maybe I'll ask myself the question. For now, it's not relevant.”
A move to either Barcelona or Real Madrid will prove difficult, even Griezmann admitted to this. As a result, a move to England would be the obvious choice, but the player revealed that he holds “doubts” about a move there.
“Afterwards, I wonder where I can leave to. In Spain, there is Barca and Real Madrid.
“Barca have the front three (of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar]. Madrid is impossible because of my club. I believe they have a pact between them.
“Germany, it's not a championship that attracts me. France, not for the moment.
“And England, there are many doubts about my private life. There is rain, bad weather... I need to be happy outside.”
