Bayern Munich take on AS Roma in Italy on Tuesday night. The visitors are safe in Europe, but they have promised not to seat back against the ambitious Giallorossi…
Bayern Munich aren’t free from troubles in the German Bundesliga, but in the Champions League, it’s completely different. The 2010 European beaten finalists are part of the few teams that can boast of a 100% record in the group stages of the Champions League although they had been tipped to face more problems with Italian giants AS Roma falling in Group E as well.

But today, Bayern Munich could relax at the Stadio Olimpico as they have already booked their tickets for the Last 16 of the tournament. Obviously, however, Tuesday night’s away fans expect the Germans not to undervalue the match.

Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal explained how he and his players view the Roma encounter since they have already qualified for the next round of the Champions League.

“The match isn’t important in terms of standings, for us,” the Dutch told Italian magazine Il Corriere dello Sport.

“It’s rather good for our own development. It will offer us the opportunity to grow in self-esteem from the perspective of the Bundesliga.”

Indeed, Bayern Munich need to turn things around on the domestic front. It’s rather surprising to know that the reigning Bundesliga champions are struggling to achieve higher standards in the league as they are only placed in 8th position in the table.

With AS Roma desperately looking to join Bayern in the Last 16 of the Champions League, expect tonight’s match at the Stadio Olimpico to be exciting. The Giallorossi are showing signs of revival and they are keen to extend their 7-match unbeaten record in all competitions with a result against Bayern Munich.
