However, did this disappointment boil over into a lash out at a Sevilla player? Video footage appears to show so.
A video has surfaced showing what appears to be the three-time Ballon d’Or winner throwing a punch at Los Hispalenses’ Grzegorz Krychowiak, an incident which went unnoticed by the referee.
Of course, match official José González’s failure to pick up on the incident paves way for the LFP to step in and punish the 30-year-old Portuguese ace, should his actions merit punishment.
