Friday's game will surely be one Barcelona's players and fans will want to forget soon. But despite the bad score line between his side and Athletic, the Blaugrana boss revealed he could still pick the same men to start on Monday at Camp Nou as a sign of trust.
"My role as coach is about making decisions and I accept full responsibility for the changes having played three days ago. It wasn't our best day at the office, but the second leg is still to come. I congratulate Athletic on their victory and for the atmosphere they generated in their favour, but if there's a team in Europe that can come back from 4-0 down, it's Barcelona," a confident coach stated.

Barcelona's boss also talked about why he picked some of Friday's starters. The former Celta manager revealed that he plans to rotate all the players in order for the to be well rested by the end of the season, just like he did last year.
"It is what it is and I can't change it. We have to let a few hours pass in order to analyse the match with a cool head. I made many changes because this isn't the stage of the season when you overload your players with playing time," the coach added.
"This is the eighth time Barcelona loses the first leg of the Super Cup. Out of those seven times, FCB was only able to win the 2010 edition against Sevilla. (first leg 1-3, second leg 4-0)"

Finally, Luis Enrique shared with the press what he believed to be the key moments during the game.
"An individual error allowed Athletic to open the scoring. At 1-0 we had two very good chances, then they went 2-0 up and the others followed. I'm still confident in these players and could select the same line-up," the coach concluded.
