Leicester vs Liverpool will go live in the Premier League on Tuesday, the 2nd of December at the King Power Stadium.

The Reds finally ended their winless run when they faced Stoke City at Anfield last time out. The match seemed destined to end as stalemate until full back Glen Johnson scored a brave header late in the game to give his side a very important victory.

The win came after a disappointing winless run of four games for the Reds and Brendan Rodgers expressed his delight over the courage and desire shown by his players.

"The players deserve a huge amount of credit. The courage they showed today to keep going and show that resilience against a side with good players. [It was] a hard-fought victory for us but a well-deserved one," he said.

"If you watch Glen, he's on the move and shows great courage and bravery - that's something the players have had. It's disappointing that the players haven't shown that of late, I think obviously with confidence a little bit low."

"What you have to do is show resilience and courage, then the football will come out and in spells today our football was excellent."

"We needed to up the speed and move the ball a bit quicker. In that first half we had enough of the ball but just lacked a bit of intensity, which is understandable given the confidence of the team isn't top yet."

The former Swansea boss also spoke of his decision to bench captain Steven Gerrard in the match against Stoke denying any claims of a rift between the two.

"Steven's at the bit of his career where he's not going to play every minute of every game.

"He's obviously played against Crystal Palace and Ludogorets [in Wednesday's 2-2 UEFA Champions League draw] and we've got other players who can come in and do the job. Steven understands that."

Their counterparts Leicester City on the other hand are currently rock bottom in the league table having suffered defeats in four of their last five matches with the remainder ending in a draw. Nigel Pearson's men have endured a torrid month of November which has seen them collecting just a single point. They put up a more resilient display when they went up against fellow league strugglers QPR last time out but were denied a point after Charlie Austin scored a header in the second half.

Midfielder Dean Hammond (calf) has been sidelined for the match against Liverpool whereas Leicester will also be without Matt Upson who is yet to regain full match fitness.
