Manchester City have been negotiating a settlement offer with UEFA for having breached the rules pertaining to the FFP. If the two parties fail to reach an agreement by the end of the week, the case will be handed to a panel for a non-negotiable decision.

Part of the settlement involves a €60M fine, a reduction of the Champions League squad from the usual 25 players to 21, and assurance to maintain a minimum of 8 locally-trained players within the A squad.

Similarly under scrutiny is PSG, although the details of the negotiations in that case are not known. Both teams went under investigation for sponsorship deals involving each respective owner.

As unlikely as it may be, Platini has reminded everyone however, that failure to conform to the FFP rules may lead to harsher sanctions, such as an exclusion from the UEFA Champions League.
