Liverpool’s man of the hour, Brendan Rodgers, is confident that Everton will give Man City a run for the money as they fight to clinch a spot in the top four. The manager stated that, despite the rivalry, Martinez will not roll over against the Citizens to disrupt the Reds’ title chase.

Since Liverpool’s loss against Chelsea, Manchester City has the opportunity to make its own destiny by winning the next three games and taking home the title. However, things are not so easy for Pellegrini’s side.

“I believe there will (be a twist in the EPL title race). This is a time for perspective,” the Liverpool boss told the press this week

“Manchester City have a tough game. Everton are a great club, they will be looking to get a result as they can still finish in the top four. We will concentrate on our own games.”

He concluded:

“I’ll be watching the (Everton) game. I’m not one of those who will be on the golf course.”

In fact, the tie with Everton may prove to be more complicated than it appears. The Toffees are chasing Europe and need the win against City to keep their hope alive.

Although football is unpredictable, it seems that Brandon Rodgers words are more wishful thinking than anything else, as the Toffees seem to be quite satisfied with yet another incredibly successful run.
