Allsvenskan, İsveç'in en üst düzey futbol kategorisidir. 1924 yılında kurulduğu için Avrupa’daki en eski liglerden biridir. Her yıl on altı takım şampiyonluk için mücadele eder.
Çoğu Avrupa ligi gibi, Allsvenskan da terfi-düşme sistemine göre işler. Ligde en kötü performansa sahip iki takım düşerken, bir diğer kulüp ise Superettan'dan gelen üçüncü takımla terfi-düşme mücadelesi verir.
