TruTV, or truTV, is an American basic cable channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, alongside sister channels TBS and TNT. It was launched in December 1990 under the name Crime TV before rebranding to TruTV in 2008, shifting from crime-themed content to action-centric docusoaps and later to comedy shows.

In 2011, the channel saw an influx of sports broadcasts, featuring sporting events licensed to TNT Sports (then known as Turner Sports), with a primary focus on NCAA men's basketball.

TruTV has aired some of the biggest U.S. sports, including the National Hockey League, acting as an overflow channel for NHL on TNT starting in 2021. The channel later began airing or simulcasting MLB, the French Open, and NASCAR shortly thereafter.

Soccer has also played a part in TruTV’s sports coverage, particularly during the expanded 2025 FIFA Club World Cup tournament in the USA. TNT Sports agreed to a sublicensing deal with official broadcaster DAZN for 24 matches, which were broadcast stateside in English. Under this agreement, TruTV televised the group stage, knockout rounds, and the final match between PSG and Chelsea, which Chelsea won 3-0.

TruTV, which broadcasts in up to HD quality, is available across major cable, satellite, and streaming television providers in the USA, including Dish Network, Xfinity, Spectrum, DirecTV, Hulu + Live TV, and more. However, availability is subject to agreements between TV providers and Warner Bros. Discovery, which can change.

Additionally, TruTV content is available to stream on the subscription-based streaming service Max or the B/R Sports hub. A subscription to a TV provider that carries this channel also grants viewers the ability to stream its programming at no additional cost on truTV.com or the truTV app.
