With that in mind, and to get the player in full gear for the competition, the club will celebrate a variety of friendly games in a tour that will include stops in Dallas, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, and Japan.
Messi will be joined by Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, DeAndre Yedlin, and Leonardo Campana in this tour. The ongoing preseason will also give coach Gerardo "Tata" Martino a chance to shape his squad for what will be a tough year for the Herons, which will see them play in four different tournaments (Major League Soccer, U.S. Open Cup, Concacaf Champions Cup, and Leagues Cup).
