The Red Devils had to play the entire second half with ten men due to Marcus Rashford's sending off.

Things have certainly changed for Manchester United, but all of those changes have certainly been for the worst under coach Erik Ten Hag.

Despite being supported by Sir Alex Ferguson and even with some positive results such as the one they earned last weekend, the club is now submerged in a huge amount of pressure, and their 4-3 loss to Kobenhavn is the latest example of their inconsistent form.

Manchester United were up by two goals after 30 minutes, and everything seemed to be fine for the Red Devils. Nonetheless, a woeful performance during the first half's stoppage time ended with the score level at two goals...and with Rashford being sent off.

Things would slightly improve after the break thanks to Bruno Fernandes' goal, but Kobenhavn's furious reaction saw the Danish club claim a historic win against the English side, which also set some records for all the wrong reasons for Ten Hag's men.

One of those "milestones" has to do with the team's lack of care when it comes to defending inside the box, as they gave away one more penalty to the Danish side. The last one was saved by Onana, but this time the Cameroonian was not that lucky. Manchester United's lack of finesse when defending inside the box gave them their first unwanted feat of the evening.

The second one came as soon as their loss to Kobenhavn was confirmed. Unfortunately for the English side, this loss will go down in history as their first-ever in this competition after taking a two-goal lead. According to Opta, they had suffered a similar fate in a Premier League match back in the 2014-15 season, but it is the first one of the sort in the continental competition.

If that was not enough, the club has also picked up its ninth loss of the season, which should give Manchester United fans the right to be concerned about their future. This defeat has also set a franchise record, as it has taken this team less games than any other in the post-Ferguson era to reach that number. In fact, the last time they reached such a feat as quickly as right now, they ended up being relegated.

Now, Manchester United are facing elimination right in the eye in this competition, but it seems that the club's hierarchy believes this team will bounce back. Would you sack Ten Hag or would you keep him around? Only time will let us know what the future holds in store for the Dutch tactician.
