Current form: Napoli vs Roma
Napoli come into this game having drawn PSG 2-2 in the Champions League, but they were literally a few minutes away from picking up a hard-fought win at the Parc des Princes. The Partenopei now will have to turn their attention back to domestic affairs as they welcome Roma and try to close the gap on Juventus, whose slip-up against Genoa caused the gap between the two sides to be narrowed slightly to four.
So far, Napoli have lost just two games this season. The 3-1 loss in Turin was not exactly shocking, but their 3-0 rout by Sampdoria certainly was, and they will obviously be hopingto avoid any further such mishaps against smaller sides in order to keep on fully challenging Juventus for the Scudetto this season.
As for Roma, they will be hoping to get back on track in the league after their rather embarrassing defeat to SPAL last weekend. The Giallorossi have been quite solid in the Champions League, with wins from their last two games to put them joint-tied for first place, but Eusebio Di Francesco's men have struggled for consistency in Serie A. The loss to SPAL was the second shocking result for them following a 2-0 defeat to a Bologna side who had not scored a single goal until meeting Roma.
Inconsistency has held Roma back this season, as they have notably beaten Lazio in the Derby della Capitale, and they do have a good record in recent head-to-head meetings with Napoli. In fact, Roma are the last side to beat Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo this year in Serie A and have won two of their last three away fixtures against the Partenopei. Will they be able to make it a three-peat on Sunday?

Napoli currently sit in second place, four points behind Juventus, so the best the Partenopei can do is to close the gap to one point - if Juve suffer a surprise defeat to Empoli. However, with that highly unlikely to happen, Ancelotti's side at the very least will want to stay ahead of third-placed Inter, who face Lazio on Monday.
Roma, meanwhile, are in seventh spot and will be hoping to close the gap on the top four with a win over the Partenopei on Sunday.

Napoli: The biggest worry for Ancelotti will be the fitness of key striker Lorenzo Insigne, who took a knock during the team's 2-2 draw with PSG. Should he not recover in time, Dries Mertens, who has not featured as much under the Italian tactician, will likely replace him in the starting XI.
Roma: Both Diego Perotti and Justin Kluivert are definite absentees for this match, while Javier Pastore is struggling with muscular issues and so may not be risked by Eusebio Di Francesco on Sunday.
