Philippe Coutinho’s Barcelona move is back on, according to the reports. After a long summer transfer saga, the Blaugrana is tipped to land the Brazilian ace despite Liverpool’s claims that they will not sell.
Mundo Deportivo now claims that Coutinho is already house shopping in the Catalonia capital ahead of a rumored move. Despite three failed attempts to lure him to Camp Nou, Valverde’s side is expected to return in January with a bid, with the 25-year-old’s representatives now exploring for property in Spain.
The Reds star is reportedly keen on moving closer to former team-mate Luis Suarez or countryman Paulinho. Coutinho sees this task – finding a suitable house in Barcelona – as a key move to settling well at the Blaugrana.
Liverpool fans looking to Klopp for reassurances did not get any. The German manager dismissed claims that the Merseyside giant will have to sell players after spending $101m on Virgil van Dijk, but Jurgen said “nothing is forever” about Coutinho’s possible exit.
The Blaugrana’s interest in the Brazilian is no secret. After losing Neymar in a world-record transfer to PSG, Valverde’s side went after Philippe but was unable to secure the move.
Although Coutinho appears more and more likely to leave, the Selecao ace should feature for Liverpool on Saturday. The Reds will lock horns with Leicester in the Premier League in a highly-anticipated Anfield tie.
