It is one of the biggest worries on Arsenal fans’ minds: will Alexis Sanchez leave the club this summer? The Chilean ace’s contract situation is an alarming issue for the Gunners, alongside their position this season and their odds of finishing outside the top four.
The former Barcelona star has only a year left remaining on his deal with the Gunners, which means the north London club will have to sell him this summer or risk losing him for nothing in the next one. Attempts to extend his contract are ongoing, but little progress has been made.
To pile up the woes, Corriere dello Sport report (as per Football Italia) that Arsenal have received a bid from Juventus for their number 7 attacker. That offer is estimated to be €30m, with the Old Lady looking to beat out the competition in the race to land the South American ace.
Contact has been made with the Premier League outfit, but the report failed to mention whether Arsenal turned down the offer immediately or were open to doing business. One would assume that the Gunners would hold out for more money, if they are willing to cash in on Sanchez.
If Alexis snubs PSG – another interested club – for the Bianconeri, he’d join the likes of Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain and Mario Mandzukic. The Chilean would also experience his first formidable Champions League bid since his Barca days.
