Newcastle United welcomes the Eagles this Saturday, as they aim to crawl out of the threatening relegation zone.

Rafa Benitez’s team is sitting in the 19th position on the English Premier League table with only 30 points and as the season comes to an end, the Toons are striving to make it out alive.

In their most recent league appearance, the home side drew against Liverpool after an epic second-half 2-0 comeback, proving the player's’ passion and drive to survive in this domestic competition. However, this Saturday Rafa’s boys will be put to the test, as they host 16th place contenders Crystal Palace.

After the away side beat Watford in the FA cup semifinals last Sunday, Alan Pardew’s team is hoping to keep their positive momentum going in order to clinch three important points at the St James’ Park.

Team news - who's fit and who's not?

The injury bug has definitely struck Rafa Benitez’s men, as they will be missing captain Fabricio Coloccini (calf) and full-back Daryl Janmaat (groin). In addition, goalkeepers Tim Krul and Rob Elliot (both knee), as well as defenders Massadio Haidara (knee) and Steven Taylor (muscle strain) will also miss Saturday’s clash due to their ongoing injuries.

The visitors will be delighted to have midfielder James McArthur back in action after being sidelined due to a rupture in his ankle ligaments. Yet, on the other hand, strikers Marouane Chamakh (groin), Dwight Gayle(unspecified muscular injury) and defender Brede Hangeland (ankle) will have to sit out of this game.
