During the DFB Pokal match between Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund, local fans sent a number of tennis balls to the pitch, causing the game to be suspended for a while.

Fans usually voice their complaints against a club by turning their back on them, by holding up banners on the stands, not buying their merchandise, or even with other forms of protests that are not considered peaceful. But what happened today in Stuttgart was quite hilarious.

Just after Lukas Rupp socred the equalizer for Stuttgart against Borussia Dortmund, local supporters started sending hundreds of tennis balls to the pitch, protesting for expensive ticket prices. The game had to be stopped to clear all the balls from the field.

This is not th first protest of the sort in recent memory, as Liverpool fans left Anfield Road before the game's conclusion due to the high-priced tickets.

Last year, Bayern fans also complained about the cost of attending a UEFA Champions League game when they faced Arsenal in their Group Stage meeting.

Dortmund players had to clear the balls off the pitch themselves in order to continue playing.
