The USMNT and Colombia will lock horns on Friday afternoon in an International Friendly match that will take place at Craven Cottage. Fulham's home ground will bring together two nations that progressed out of their group in the 2014 World Cup, with the South American's going as far as the quarterfinals.
Jurgen Klinsmann's confident side will have a few new faces in London, and one of them will be New England Revolution star Lee Nguyen.
"When Jurgen called me, that's when it started coming to fruition that this is possible," said Nguyen.
"It was a great call, and we had a good conversation. This is hopefully just the first. I've still got to keep going and pushing, and that's the main thing."
Nguyen has been in fine form this season for the Revolution, and a chance to represent the USMNT could give the midfielder even more confidence to help guide his side to an MLS Cup Final.
Two consecutive draws for the USA against Honduras and Ecuador were far from impressive, but they will now have to really dig deep against a Colombian side that has plenty of weapons to punish them. Los Cafeteros did not hold back despite this being a friendly, but at least the Yanks will not have to worry about Radamel Falcão, who is unavailable due to a knee injury.
FIFA's number three ranked country in the world will be out to impress in London on Friday, and given their selection of players, they have plenty of options to do just that. The likes of James Rodriguez, Juan Cuadrado, Juan Quintero, Carlos Bacca and even Porto's Jackson Martinez will want to honor their country even though there isn't anything on the line.
This could very well be a match that we could see in the 2016 Copa America, which will be hosted by the USA in honor of the tournaments centenary.
