Peter Cech’s error against Liverpool last weekend let Chelsea’s EPL title ambitions suffer a setback. But the goalie, who understands his mistake, is hopeful that Manchester United will also slip.
“It was my mistake. The coach couldn't have said anything else,” Peter Cech admitted as he responded to Carlo Ancelotti’s post-match comments which saw the shot stopper blamed.

But the Chelsea man has refused to make a meal out of this issue. He continued with his explanations:

“Mistakes are a part of football and you have to learn to live with them. I have now made my first of the season.

“Manchester United stumbled and so did Arsenal. We had a chance to reduce the deficit again and it's a pity that we couldn't take it.

“[My goalkeeping error against Liverpool] will still bother me for a while, yet. But these things happen.

“December is the main reason why we are behind, but something similar could happen to Manchester.”

Actually, Manchester United’s unbeaten run came to an end last weekend as they were stunned by Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home. The fact is that the Red Devils may drop more points, but will Chelsea win the maximum?

Chelsea are 4th in the English Premier League standings and even a victory over Fulham on Monday will not push them higher in the table as they are 5 points behind 3rd placed Manchester City.
