Tottenham will be keen on returning to winning ways when they host the reigning English Premier League champions on Saturday. The north London outfit are only a point behind leaders Man City, but another failure to win will see them fall further.
Their last fixture in the league saw them play out a drab 0-0 draw with Bournemouth, dropping to fifth as a result. Spurs boast a superior head-to-head record against Claudio Ranieri’s side, but lost their last meeting at White Hart Lane 1-0.
Unfortunately, Mauricio Pochettino has a few injury worries – two in particular. First of his woes surrounds star center-back Toby Alderweireld is a doubt for the weekend clash, as he is yet to recover from injury.
Harry Kane is also another worry for the Argentine tactician. Last season’s Golden Boot winner remains on the sideline after hurting his ankle, with Saturday’s game coming too soon for the Englishman. In his absence, Heung-Min Son will spearhead Spurs’ attack, having scored five times in all competitions this season.
Nampalys Mendy is Leicester’s only absentee, as he continues to recover from an ankle injury. Elsewhere, the Tinkerman might rest a few players due to their upcoming Champions League clash.
