Mia Hamm scored twice to give the Washington Freedom a 2-1 victory over New York Freedom on July 15, 2001. It was the Freedom's final home win of the 2001 season. Freddy Adu, Jamil Walker, Bobby Boswell and Clyde Simms each found the back of the net in front of a crowd of 15,223 fans at RFK Stadium as D. C.
