The Brazilians take on Universidad de Chile in the second leg of the annual final at the Pacaembu stadium on Wednesday.
Santos and Universidad de Chile clash in the second leg of the final of the South American Super Cup at the Pacaembu stadium in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Wednesday.

The contest brings together the champions of the 2011 Copa Libertadores, Santos, and the 2011 Copa Sudamericana winners, Universidad de Chile.

When the teams met in the first leg of the final in Santiago in August, Santos returned home with a precious point as the teams fought out a goalless draw. But the situation could have been far better for Santos had Neymar not missed a penalty kick.

Santos, who have struggled enormously in the Brasileiro this season, come into the game following a 3-1 defeat to Portuguesa on the weekend. Santos were unable to count with the services of star striker Neymar for the game due to suspension.

However, the highly-rated Brazilian international will make his return for the eagerly-awaited final. Other key players who will return to action include midfielder Adriano and aging left-back Leo.

One notable absence will be the one of talented midfielder Paulo Henrique Ganso, who was recently transferred to rivals Sao Paulo for a $12 million fee.

Meanwhile, rivals Universidad de Chile come into the game following a 2-2 draw with Santiago Wanderers, which allowed them to join Deportes Iquique and Rangers at the top of the table.

'U' coach Jorge Sampaoli will be delighted by the fact that he will be able to count with a full-strength squad for the game, which includes Enzo Gutierrez, the leading scorer of the Chilean Clausura championship with seven goals.
