The competition will kick off on May 20 after the complicated events that saw it changing host countries at the last minute.

The 2023 U-20 World Cup will begin this weekend, and football fans in the United States will be able to follow the full tournament via Telemundo, its sister channel Universo, and the Telemundo App.

The competition will feature 24 teams from all over the world, with most of the former winners in this tournament and with two debuts taking place. One of those national teams will be Israel, the other one is the Dominican Republic, who will make their debut in a competition sanctioned by FIFA.

Fans will be able to follow the full tournament on Telemundo, the official home for FIFA Tournaments in the U.S. The Spanish-speaking network will divide all games among Telemundo, Universo, and the Telemundo App, which will carry 28 matches live and exclusively. As previously mentioned, the tournament will take place from May 20 until June 11, with four venues hosting all matches.

The first match of the competition will feature the USMNT and Ecuador. At the same time, Guatemala and New Zealand will kick off all activity in Group A, where they will be fighting for a spot in the next round with hosts Argentina.

The first game and all of the USMNT's matches will be preceeded by a 30-minute preview, which will feature all relevant news prior to the games and the general state of the competition with the knockout stage in mind.
