Chelsea will look to book their spot in the semi-finals of the Europa League as they take on Eastern European outfit Slavia. Live Soccer TV's match preview provides match facts, team news, and global broadcast listings for Slavia vs Chelsea.

How they got here: Slavia vs Chelsea

After failing to get beyond the third qualifying round in the Champions League, Slavia entered the Europa League, where they finished second in their quartet behind Zenit. In the round of 32, they beat Belgian side Genk 4-1 on aggregate and recorded a surprise 6-5 win over serial Europa League winners Sevilla courtesy of a 4-3 extra-time victory.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are featuring in the Europa League for only the second time in their history. The last time the Blues participated in this tournament was during the 2012/2013 term, when they dropped down into the competition after crashing out in the group stage and they ended up winning it. This time, the London powerhouse have been participating in it from the start, and so far it's been pretty smooth sailing. Maurizio Sarri's side were nearly perfect in the group stages, save for a surprise 2-2 draw on matchday six with Eastern European minnows Vidi, but picked up 16 points from a very easy group to easily top their quartet.

The knockout rounds posed little challenge for Chelsea as they brushed aside Malmo 5-1 on aggregate in the round of 32 and humiliated Ukrainian outfit Dynamo Kiev 8-0 over two legs in the round of 16. Upcoming opponents Slavia will hope to avoid the same kind of fate, certainly.

Current form: Slavia vs Chelsea

Slavia are unbeaten at home in all competitions since August and one must note that they managed to actually eliminate Sevilla from the Europa League, so they could pose a tougher challenge to the visiting Blues - on paper at least. More important, they have conceded just three goals at home so far in the Europa League.

That being said, Chelsea are unbeaten away from home in the Europa League and had no problems handling both Malmo and Dynamo Kiev in their travels, and certainly will be fancying their chances here, but will have to be careful as Slavia will be desperate to keep their Europa League campaign going as they are into the quarter-finals for the first time in their club's history.

Domestically, Slavia are top of the table in the Czech First League, seven points ahead of Viktoria Plzen.

Chelsea have won their last three Premier League games, but face a tough league tie coming up. Next on the menu is a clash with Liverpool, followed by the return leg against Slavia as they aim to consolidate a top four berth.

Team news: Slavia vs Chelsea

Slavia: Tomas Soucek (suspended)

Chelsea: Willian, Pedro, Olivier Giroud, Ross Barkley, Andreas Christensen, Mateo Kovacic, Davide Zappacosta and Marcos Alonso all did not feature in Monday night's victory over West Ham, so many of these players will be hoping to feature in this game - especially as Chelsea face a crunch clash with league leaders Liverpool this weekend.

Alonso and Ethan Ampadu are the visitors' only two major doubts for this match.
