The Argentine ace had a few words for his former team and its supporters once his transfer to the rossoneri was confirmed.

One of the most talked-about deals in the current transfer window was the one that saw Gonzalo Higuain joining Milan. Speaking at the press conference where he was officialized as a rossoneri footballer, Higuain admitted the reasons why he chose not to join Chelsea despite Maurizio Sarri's interest to have him around.

The Argentine striker named Leonardo as crucial to see this deal done, and he tried to offer Juve fans an olive branch after his swift departure.

"I spent some good moments at Juventus, I will always have fond memories of that club. I want to thank bianconeri fans from the bottom of my heart for all their support," Higuain added.

Before the presser concluded, a reporter asked him if he, as Mattia Caldara said, was going to regret not being able to play with Cristiano Ronaldo. According to Higuain's words, there seems to be no doubt in his mind on how he made the right choice.
