The Azzurri side may be out of the tournament, but that's no reason to snub the biggest football competition in the world. Here are your mobile options to watch the FIFA World Cup in Italy

Football fans around the world were disappointed when Italy failed to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and even if Italian fans don't have the chance to watch their National Team on the pitch, they will still want to get a hold of the competition.

For the first time in history, famed TV network RAI will not broadcast the competition. Instead, Silvio Berlusconi's Mediaset Italia bought exclusive rights to broadcast the competition on all available platforms. Let's have a look at how fans living in or visiting Italy this summer will have a chance to follow the competition.

World Cup streaming via the official broadcasters

Mediaset

As we mentioned a few lines above, Mediaset Italia owns exclusive rights to broadcast the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Their coverage of the competition includes live broadcast on their free-to-air channels, adding a streaming service to their options via their website www.sportmediaset.it. Added to that, this media group will provide coverage via two apps, one being developed exclusively for this competition.

World Cup streaming in English

None of Mediaset's channels, website or mobile apps will provide English-spoken content for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Italy.

World Cup streaming in Italian language

SportsMediaset website will broadcast all 64 games as seen on TV. Furthermore, the brand-new online player will give fans an option to follow every live game with one of the five different camera angles available. When the games conclude, fans will be able to watch them on-demand, or if they don't want to re-live the entire game, they can watch each game's highlights with up to 24 different angles of each play.

Apps with live World Cup games

Sports Mediaset App - This app, which can be downloaded to any mobile device, will have the option to stream games live and on-demand. Fans will also have news, polls and articles to read via their app.

Mediaset 2018 FIFA World Cup App - This brand-new app will have the cutting-edge video player included in the company's website, giving fans the chance give fans the option to follow all 64 games, both live or on-demand, with the multi-angle feature on Mediaset's website.

Added to that, fans will have up-to-date info for every team playing in this competition. This app will be available for iOS and Android users.
