And in Euro 2016, the Real Madrid star wrote his name in history by becoming the first ever Portugal captain to lead his side to a major trophy – the European Championship – despite being written off by many. In a few months time, Cristiano and Co. must do the same in the 2018 World Cup – silence their critics, that is.
Ahead of the summer tournament, Nike Football has released an awesome ad featuring the 33-year-old titled “Cristiano Ronaldo - Born Leader”. In the short 46-second clip, everything from the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s debut, Euro 2016 final injury, and eventual jubilation is relived in quick flashbacks.
In the video, Ronaldo can be seen sporting Portugal’s newly-unveiled kit for the 2018 World Cup. Watch it all in the ad below.
