And yet, some criticize Gonzalo Higuain's contribution for club and country.
The Argentinean striker managed to set a UEFA Champions League record with the fastest brace in tournament's history, following his early goals after 2 and eight minutes, respectively.
Higuain's first goal came thanks to a well-placed pass by Pjanic, which he sent to the back of the net with a cheeky right-hand shot.

Later, Higuain transformed a spot kick into his second goal of the evening, earning his place in tournament history while at it.
"Record alert: Gonzalo Higuaín (at eight minutes and seven seconds) has scored the fastest brace in UEFA Champions League history, surpassing Julio Cruz's record against Spartak Moscow (at 8 minutes, 30 seconds) on October 18, 2006."
