The French striker missed Thursday's training session following the club's decision to turn down a €100M bid to sign the player.

Barcelona fans will have to keep waiting for a new player, as Borussia Dortmund refused to sell Ousmane Dembelé for a staggering €100M fee.

According to Catalan newspaper Sport, Los Blaugranas had two bids rejected to sign the player. Despite having reached an agreement with the player, Borussia Dortmund has no interest in parting ways with the player, and will delay this transfer for as long as possible. In fact, the German club issued a statement revealing that Barcelona needed to step their pursue up if they wanted to sign a player with "extraordinary capabilities" such as Dembelé.

Meanwhile, the player decided to skip practice today, as a way of forcing his transfer to Los Blaugranas. Coach Peter Bosz admitted the club tried to communicate with the player, but failed to do so earlier today.

"He didn't work out with us today. We tried to reach him, but he didn't answer. I just hope he's alright," Bosz stated.

Nevertheless, Dembele's plan to force a transfer apparently backfired, as he will be suspended by the team and will be forced to pay a fine for skipping practice.

"Dembelé decided not to attend today's training session, and he did so fully aware of the consequences. The player will face disciplinary action over this incident," revealed Michael Zorc, Dortmund's Sports VP.

Now, the French player will be suspended from the team's training sessions until Monday. If that wasn't enough punishment, Dembelé will have to pay an undisclosed fine.
