Barcelona need to put an end to their two-game losing streak or risk losing La Liga. The Blaugrana trail Real Madrid by three points despite having played a game extra, with Enrique’s side set to make the trip to the Bernabeu in El Clasico in the next round.
Real Sociedad will be a tricky challenge, given that they are competing for a spot in the Europa League. Furthermore, the Blaugrana play Juventus at home in the second leg of their Champions League clash in their next game, a tie which will weigh heavily on Enrique’s mind.
Barcelona will have to secure a win without the services of Neymar. The Brazilian superstar has been suspended for three games after sarcastically applauding the referee after being sent off in the 2-0 loss to Malaga.
Furthermore, Javier Mascherano is expected to miss this clash due to a calf injury. This means a change in formation could occur, with Jordi Alba returning to the starting lineup.
Busquets will also return to the lineup having missed the Juventus loss through suspension. Andres Iniesta could be dropped, whilst Paco Alcacer could enter the fold in place of Neymar.
