Firstly, Diego Costa is back with the squad after apparently setting his row with Antonio Conte, so that means that the Brazilian-born Spanish international could eb deployed from the start in this fixture. Secondly, title rivals Liverpool, Tottenham, and Manchester City all dropped points this weekend. The Reds lost to Swansea, whilst Spurs and the Sky Blues played to a 2-2 draw. Even if Arsenal wins, the Blues could move eight points clear of the chasing pack by the time the dust settles at the end of this round - which bodes well for them, but not so much for their rivals.
Hull City
Meanwhile, Hull City are in the midst of a major injury crisis. Alex Bruce, Markus Henriksen, William Keane, Moses Odubajo, Shaun Maloney, Brian Lenihan, and Greg Luer are among those still reportedly on the treatment table or are in doubt for this fixture. And they are also missing Ahmed El Mohamady and Dieumerci Mbokani due to the AFCON tournament. It goes without saying that this game could not come at a worse possible time for the Tigers, who managed to pull off an impressive win against Leicester on matchday one, but now are struggling horribly just to avoid the drop at the end of this term.
