One of the things fans love about the Premier League is that while other leagues enjoy a break during the festive Christmas period, matches come fast and hard in the English top-flight.
There is no rest for the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United, with all 20 sides playing three games from Boxing Day – the first day after Christmas – until the New Year.
All of this is in the span of a week, a tradition in English football, with Boxing Day handing us some juicy encounters in particular.
Southampton vs Arsenal
Fresh off of Monday’s 2-1 win over Man City, second-placed Arsenal will travel to St. Mary’s Stadium, a place where the Gunners were beaten 2-0 last season.
No new player will rejoin the squad from injury, leaving Wenger with a starting eleven identical to the win over the Citizens.
Man City vs Sunderland
Away from home, City are cats scratching at beasts, but at the Etihad, they are lions devouring helpless trespassers.
Their next victims look to be Sunderland, as Pellegrini’s crew host the Black Cats itching to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat to the Gunners.
Tottenham vs Norwich City
Spurs went from a 14-game unbeaten run which had many tipping the north London side with a top-four finish to winning only 2 in their last 6 games.
Nonetheless, the win away to Southampton saw Pochettino’s boys leapfrog Man United into fourth in the standings, ahead of their clash with Norwich.
Unfortunately, in the Canaries, Tottenham have lost three, drawn 2, and won only once in their last six meetings.
Stoke City vs Man United
All eyes will be on this fixture, with Louis Van Gaal under pressure to deliver. With Jose Mourinho out of work, the Portuguese boss is rumored to be in line to replace the Dutchman, with fans growing frustrated in the Red Devils boss.

The 2-1 loss to Norwich was their fourth game without a win. Will this bad run end on Saturday?
Liverpool vs Leicester City
The standout fixture from Boxing Day will see Liverpool host league leaders Leicester City, as the Foxes surprise form continue to see them lead the pack, 2 points ahead of closest rivals Arsenal.
The Reds will look to bounce back from last week’s 3-0 thrashing away to Watford, as Jurgen Klopp looks to bring the Merseyside club’s season back on track.
The German tactician has already lost three times in the league, more than Brendan Rodgers before his sacking, racking up only 12 points from 9 games.

But there is no better of announcing oneself than beating the leaders.
Chelsea vs Watford
This will be Chelsea’s first game under charge of interim manager Guus Hiddink, who took over the recently sacked Jose Mourinho.
Nine defeats in their first 16 games was enough to see owner Roman Ibramovich to call it an end on the Special One’s second spell at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues first game without the Portuguese boss saw them return to winning ways, beating Sunderland 3-1, though the players were showered with boos.
Is this a sign of what is yet to come?

Given that Man United are the most successful team in England, there is no surprise that they boast the best Boxing Day numbers, becoming the first side to win 50 English league games on December 26.
