Everyone’s favorite club football clash is finally here. On Saturday, the world will get to witness Real Madrid and Barcelona lock horns for the very first time this season, in El Clasico.
Spain’s two biggest sides, who coincidentally top the Liga BBVA charts, will battle it out at Santiago Bernabeu, with Blaugrana looking to increase their three-point lead over second-placed Real Madrid.
Los Blancos, however, will be keen on grabbing a home win, with manager Rafael Benitez’s job reportedly tied to the score line of the weekend tie.
Ahead of the game, La Liga compiled a video of the best skills of arguably the two best players in El Clasico’s recent history, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, in a versus video.
Of course, a lot of embarrassed defenders and helpless goalkeepers feature. Watch the video below.
Cristiano, who is gearing up for his 24th Clasico appearance, will be looking to add to his eight goals this season, having netted 15 against the Catalan giants as a Blancos player.
Messi, on the other hand, having missed 9 games during his 2-month injury layoff, boasts 3 goals in La Liga, but could add to this tally should he feature in Saturday’s game.
However, despite making a recovery from his knee injury, Luis Enrique admitted that the Argentine ace isn’t at 100%, casting the 28-year-old’s chances of making the starting eleven into doubt.
