Three of their last five games have ended in a draw including the first leg of this stage. Vancouver has only won one of their last six games.

The Portland Timbers will be making a short trip to visit the Vancouver Whitecaps in a game where ending in a draw is not allowed. After a 0-0 result in the first leg, winning is the only thing that matters in the eyes of both teams if they want to make it to the Western Conference final.

More than a lack of offense, these two teams count with tremendous talent in the hands of their goalkeepers. Adam Kwarasey and David Ousted recorded 13 clean sheets throughout the season. Portland's Kwarasey is expected to be back for this game after missing the first leg with the flu.

However, in case he does not fully recover by game time, Jake Gleeson would be back after keeping a clean sheet in his first game back. He had not participated in an MLS game since 2011 and with three great saves, he made it clear he was ready for his call up.

Another one of Portland's key players in this match is Darlington Nagbe. The 25-year old just got his first call to the U.S. Men's National Team and he wants to prove Jurgen Klinsmann that he did the right thing by doing so. Nagbe has scored six goals and four assists this season, having great performances in the most recent games.

For the Whitecaps, their most prolific striker this season has been Octavio Rivero that ended the regular season with ten goals under his name. It's been almost a month since Rivero scored and it happened at the beginning of October when they played Colorado Rapids in a 2-0 win for Vancouver's team.

This last quarter of the season has been brutal for the Canadian team as they lost the lead of the Eastern Conference to FC Dallas and have only managed to win one of their last six games. The same team that was so dominant before October, is not the same side as we have witnessed this November.

When Vancouver gets to play in front of their home crowd at BC Place, they average 1.6 goals per game. Throughout the regular season they scored 45. Meanwhile, Portland has a 1.1 goals/game average in away games. Before this series started, Portland scored 43 goals and conceded 41.
