When Manchester United paid Monaco 80 million Euros for Anthony Martial, most experts criticized Van Gaal's decision of hiring the rather unknown Frenchman. Today, Martial made his debut against Liverpool, and he did it with style, scoring the game's final goal against the Reds.
Martial came in for Juan Mata just after Ander Herrera scored the game's second goal. Before his glorious moment, he showed glimpses of his ball-handling skills near the sidelines, which had some fans comparing him already to legendary Arsenal forward Thierry Henry. Just after Christian Benteke's goal, Martial took the ball near the left wing, dribbled a couple of players and struck the ball with ease into the lower left hand corner of Simon Mignolet's net.
That was all United fans needed to praise the striker, as you can see here.
