Italian Seria A side Juventus are pushing hard to make a couple more signings. As part of their wishes, the UEFA Europa League contenders are looking at Real Madrid’s Rafael Van der Vaart.

Real Madrid player Rafael Van Der VaartJuventus claim that the Dutch midfielder will be a perfect replacement for Brazilian player Diego who is ready to officially become a Wolfsburg player. Rafael Van der Vaart has made just a bit more than 50 appearances for Real Madrid since joining Los Blancos from Hamburg in 2008.

Now with the arrival of Mesut Ozil at the Santiago Bernabeu, Rafael Van der Vaart’s playing time could come under a threat. The player is already eying a dream move to Manchester United. However, Sir Alex Ferguson has so far showed no serious interest in signing the Dutch. Instead, Juventus have come back calling.

The Old Lady failed to land Rafael Van der Vaart a couple of years ago when he was in Germany as they lost the race to Real Madrid. But a €14m transfer fee may tempt the Spanish giants to let their star quit La Liga for the Italian Seria A. There hasn’t been much revealed concerning what is going on behind the scenes over Rafael Van der Vaart’s football career.

However, Coach Jose Mourinho has come out to state that the inclusion of the 2010 FIFA World Cup runner-up in Real Madrid’s squad isn’t a waste. The former Inter Milan boss told the media that he could well make a place for Rafa despite admiring Los Blancos’ attacking duo composed by Higuain and Karim Benzema. The transfer window closes soon while the Italian Seria A kicks off this weekend like La Liga in Spain and we are yet to know where Rafael Van der Vaart will play his 2010/2011 football season.
