The Argentinian striker led the Sky Blues past Stoke City with two goals, keeping themselves within reach of league leader Chelsea.

Just when things were starting to look a little bit dark for the current Premier League champions, Sergio Aguero scored a brace to end their five game winless streak against Stoke City. The Argentinian scored the game opener for his side after 33 minutes, but the team's shaky defense were not able to hold Peter Crouch, who scored five minutes later.

After the break, James Milner gave back the Citizens the lead, and when Stoke were closing in to tie the game one more time, Aguero scored a penalty kick to make things 3-1, saving the day for Pellegrini's men. Samir Nasri's goal after "El Kun" was subbed helped broaden the gap between the two teams, giving Manchester City their first Premier League of 2015.

Nevertheless, Manchester City will have to keep up their game to reach Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table, where they trail the Blues by seven points.
