Arsenal will play Leicester City as they look to keep up the chase for a top four spot. In the Premier League, the gap between second and seventh is only seven points while the gap between Arsenal in sixth and Manchester United in third is only three points. The Gunners will be coming into this one on the back of a rather demoralising defeat to north London rivals Tottenham.
Arsenal seemingly took an approach they have been testing recently to the match; they chose to defend strongly and hit the opposition on the counterattack. Unfortunately, due to imbalance on the flanks, Arsenal's plan did not quite work out. Spurs, dominant in every area except the one that counts before half time, used their superiority in the second half to take the lead. Two Harry Kane goals were enough to see Arsenal off. Had the Gunners won, they would have been sitting in fourth spot, level on points with Southampton.
Leicester is coming into this match on the back of three consecutive defeats to Tottenham, Manchester United and Crystal Palace respectively. A return to the Championship seems likely for them. Chris Wood and Kasper Schmeichel are out for them for this one. For Arsenal, Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere, Mathieu Debuchy, Abou Diaby and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are out. Chamberlain is suffering from a groin problem currently. Alexis Sanchez is back in contention though. Arsenal's performance against Spurs showed that they can really use the firepower of Sanchez as they look to make a run for fourth in the final third of the season.
