Having won seven of their last seven Boxing Day matches at home, Arsenal will try to continue that trend against QPR. In contrast, QPR have lost eight straight away fixtures, which could make things difficult for the visitors.

Boxing Day is always one of the most exciting days of the year, and this year, Arsenal will host QPR in the final match of the day.

The Gunners will be looking to bounce back from their latest fixture where a stoppage time goal from Martin Skrtel equalized the match at Anfield. Arsene Wenger's squad had defended well enough throughout the whole match, until the most important set-piece of them all.

A return home to take on QPR will give the hosts a good chance of getting back to winning ways.

From their last 11 matches at the Emirates in all competitions, Arsenal have lost just once. Now, you throw in their impressive seven match win streak on Boxing Day and you'd expect Harry Redknapp's squad to have a very difficult time this evening.

Arsene Wenger will welcome back David Ospina, Tomas Rosicky and Yaya Sanogo, who were all sidelined with injuries. Despite their return to the squad, the hosts will still be without Laurent Koscielny, Aaron Ramsey, Mikel Arteta, Mesut Ozil, Abou Diaby, Jack Wilshere and Serge Gnabry.

Sixteenth placed QPR may also have some absences of their own according to Harry Redknapp.

Yun Suk-Young has been ruled out for six weeks with an ankle injury he picked up against West Bromwich in a 3-2 win for the Hoops.

The former Tottenham manager also said that his side had a number of knocks which were too many to list, and he would have to make an assessment prior to the match.

Some football analysts believe that QPR should give some of those players who aren't 100% an added break, considering it may be tough to get something out of today's match. With that added rest, QPR could field a near full strength squad in two days when they take on Crystal Palace.

Whether Redknapp will do that remains to be seen, but the English manager has only lost five of his 18 matches against Arsenal as a manager, so if anything, that proves that he knows what he's doing when it comes to going up against the Gunners.
