League leaders Chelsea will be looking to bag as many titles as possible this season and will continue their quest for a fifth league cup title when they face Derby on Tuesday. After a surprise defeat at the hands of Newcastle in the league, the Blues restored order after picking a 2-0 win over Hull City last time out and thereby maintaining their three point lead at the top of the table.
Star man Eden Hazard opened up the scoring for Jose Mourinho's side and Diego Costa settled the tie by doubling the lead in the 68th minute. The current Chelsea side has been touted by many as being the best in the country and Derby head coach Steve McClaren has insisted that Mourinho's side is flawless.
"At the moment they are the strongest. I can't see a weakness, we tried to find one and it lasted about five seconds," he said.
"We have to be at our very best, very, very best to come even close. We want to do that and we are capable of doing that.
"They are the best team in the Premier League and in Europe. They have only lost one game and only lost it because they ran out of time (against Newcastle)."
"We have to perform at our best to stay in the game and have a chance of achieving our dream result. I want to see how our players perform - have we moved on from a year ago? Because Chelsea have."
However the former England boss has claimed that his side is not to be taken lightly, with the Rams currently third in the Championship, only one point shy of the top spot.
"But they will have to be at their best. Mourinho will respect us and appreciate that. That will reflect in the team he picks. We don't expect any favours."
McClaren's men however suffered a defeat in their last outing against second placed Middlesbrough after Bamford and Leadbitter scored in either halves to give them the victory.
Derby will be without defender Ryan Shotton who was shown his marching orders in the defeat at the hands of Boro. Cesc Fabregas on the other hand will be available for selection for Chelsea after serving his one match ban, but it remains to be seen whether Jose Mourinho will opt to play him.
Cech started for the Blues in both the League Cup games this season and is expected to retain his place even if Courtois recovers from his injury.
