Two of the most important players for Real Madrid and Barcelona shared their thoughts about playing El Clasico on Saturday, with Barcelona having one more day to rest.

Cristiano Ronaldo is not happy with El Clasico's date. Following their 3-0 victory against Liverpool for the UEFA Champions League, CR7 criticized the Spanish league's decision to program the most important game for the two sides with so little rest for one of the contenders.

"I don't understand why they did it. Everybody knows that a footballer needs to rest properly, since we are always facing tough competitions. If you have one more day's rest, it makes a huge difference. But we won't make excuses, we will play like we are used to and we are going to win on Saturday," Ronaldo stated.

CR7's words did not go unnoticed at Camp Nou. Andres Iniesta responded ironically, making it clear that Barcelona are ready to face Real Madrid regardless of how many days they have rested.

"The calendar has been announced way before, it's nothing new. You have to work around it and never complain. Sometimes we have arrived to important matches with less time to recover and we are not crying about it. We have to think about winning, and not if we will remain as league leaders if we lose," Iniesta said.

Both players will surely start for their teams, and this controversy may fuel up a Clasico that's already very much anticipated.
