Initially, under a six-year agreement starting in 2024–2025, GXR had obtained the exclusive rights to broadcast LaLiga EA Sports and LaLiga Hypermotion throughout the Indian subcontinent. However, LaLiga stopped sending signals to GXR just a few months into the arrangement. This reportedly came after repeated streaming outages and was finally linked to GXR's failure to pay its debts. LaLiga ultimately ended the collaboration completely in May 2025.
FanCode thereby took over as the new broadcast partner for Spanish football in the top and second divisions. Through its web platform, TV apps, and mobile apps, FanCode now offers complete access to LaLiga Hypermotion.
Until 2029–2030, FanCode remains the only digital streaming platform for Spanish second-division football in India, according to the five-year agreement.
