ARD will broadcast 30 matches from the FIFA World Cup 2026 live in Germany on its free-to-air TV channels, including the opening match, semi-finals, the final, and all Germany fixtures, with additional streaming and radio coverage available via ARD digital platforms.

2028
ARD is an official broadcaster of the UEFA Euro 2028 in Germany, acquiring the rights to this tournament in January 2025. As a result, fans in Germany can watch select Euro 2028 games live for free on ARD, a public broadcaster.
The list of matches available on ARD includes the 2028 UEFA European Championship opener, semi-finals, and the final, as well as all games involving the German national team, should they qualify for the competition.

2022-2028
Germany’s UEFA Nations League matches are shown on ARD’s regional channels as part of a joint broadcasting deal with ZDF valid through the 2027-28 season. The agreement covers 30 national team fixtures, including all UEFA Nations League games played by Germany and the 2026 World Cup and Euro 2028 qualifiers.

2022-2028

2025-2029
ARD has retained the rights to broadcast free-to-air Bundesliga highlights in Germany for the 2025-26 to 2028-29 seasons. With this four-year agreement, the public-service broadcaster showcases Saturday’s first airing of Bundesliga highlights on free TV. In addition, ARD also airs German top-flight highlights on Fridays and Sundays.

2022-2026
Football fans in Germany can watch select matches from the German Cup live on ARD, a free-to-air broadcaster, from 2022-23 until the end of the 2025-26 season.
Following a deal that was agreed through SportA, the rights-buying agency for ARD, a total of 15 matches from the German Cup are shown on ARD each season, including the final in Berlin every May.
