Following a draw against Hamburger SV, Borussia Dortmund will be looking to pick themselves up in the Bundesliga before welcoming Juventus to the Signal Iduna Park. Also, the clear cut ones they used to produce are not produced as often, even when they dominate play. Jürgen Klopp must attempt to fix such problems before Juventus' trip. Köln provides Dortmund with the perfect test simply because they can trouble anyone at home or away from home. They recently tested Bayern. Köln will take advantage of mistakes, especially in set piece situations. The goals Dortmund gave away against Juventus were rather poor ones. Klopp must make sure such mistakes do not happen in the second leg.
Hometown hero and childhood fan, Kevin Grosskreutz is out for Dortmund. For the opposition, Patrick Helmes and Yannick Gerhardt are still out. Kevin Wimmer is suspended. The two teams are separated by exactly one point. Dortmund, in tenth, have managed four wins in their last six while Köln have won only one of their past six. The victory came in the last match against Eintracht Frankfurt, 4-2. Köln beat BVB in both their last two meetings, 2-1 and 1-0, although BVB have won four of their previous six meetings.
