Arsenal will be looking to stay ahead of Olympiacos as they take on Montpellier in Group B.

Team News

Abou Diaby is out of this clash as is Tomas Rosicky. Lukasz Fabianski is also injured. Unfortunately for Arsene Wenger, Theo Walcott is also out of this one due to a shoulder injury. Kieran Gibbs and Gervinho could feature at some stage as both are fit.

John Utaka and Benjamin Stambouli are both doubtful for Montpellier. Souleymane Camara is suspended. Karim Ait Fana is injured and has been ruled out.

Analysis

Montpellier has had a Champions League campaign to forget. They have garnered a total of one point from four games. Their only point was gifted to them by a wasteful Schalke side which outplayed them for the majority of their encounter. When the French side met Arsenal in France, they gave the English side a run for their money, especially in the second half.

The Europa League too seems too far away for the French side due to the difference in points between them and the team closest to them in the group, Olympiacos. Hence, Montpellier players will be looking to invest more in their domestic league and will simply play for pride in this competition.

They will attack the English side but their attacks might not have too much venom in them due to their collective focus being elsewhere. Arsenal, buoyed by their demolition of Spurs, will come at Montpellier with renewed vigour.
